ARE YOU A NEW GAMER?
We have all played games like Monopoly, Acquire, and Uno. However, board gaming as a hobby has grown by leaps and bounds. It's not the same old games, game mechanics go way beyond the old "roll-and-move" format, and we are in a renaissance of board gaming. In some games there is no luck, everything is decided by the actions of the people playing. There are new family games, new party games, and new strategy games, with ALL KINDS OF THEMES.
The social aspect of Board Games, combined with them being much better than the old classics, means that we can all share something that is fun, new, and interesting. If there is a particular game you want to learn about, then join the Facebook Group and let people know which game you want to play. First off, relax we all want more gamers, so feel free to ask questions. You may find a jerk, but most people love to speak about Hobby Board Gaming. There are lots of different games, and lots of styles of games so try different ones and see what appeals to you. Starting out with Party Games is fine, but definately try some others. Co Operative Games are also fun to start with as you all play against the game. As you continue to explore the hobby, Social Games like Burke's Gambit or Werewolf may appeal to you, Worker placement games often inspire people, Trick taking games with a twist like Moons is familiar yet intriguing. The only real limit is your imagination!
